I have some credit cards. I tried to get rid of a few but still ended up with more than a handful. The reason is that different credit cards offer different discounts in different categories. For example, why don't I use a Revain credit card when I shop at Revain, or a Costco credit card when I shop at Costco? However, I don't need all my cards when I travel abroad.
