Excellent zoom lens, well built, durable. It was a bit difficult to learn how to manually focus on the moon. I think it would be a great lens for bird photography too. I wish they built an auto focus lens too. The price is too good compared to competitors costing over $500. The T2 adapter can also be used for other telescope mounts. Love the part where you can zoom the lens, lock it to a specific focal length and then set the focus separately, very handy.
