Perhaps a combination of efforts worked for me. I have a 35'2" pipe from my kitchen to the mains. It's lined up pretty well. It's been completely blocked for a while. At first I tried to get through it. I managed to climb almost the entire 50-foot-3 /8" snake. I thought it worked. I put the water in and still blocked it. I checked at night and it fell a bit. So I put in SCOTCH 1801 Main Line Cleaner which cleaned up the flow in main sewers and Restored side lines as he has very good reviews. I waited overnight and next morning poured boiling water over 3 large pots. All is lost! I was very happy and found it magical. In the afternoon I thought to do even better. I poured in another large pot of boiling water and was about to pour a second one in and blocked it again, then spilled it again and poured in half the mains cleaner as I only had that amount could pour. No signs of improvement overnight. . I tried to slip again. There were several difficult spots along the way. But in the end I was able to insert it completely. Back and forth many times. But I didn't see much improvement. Still completely blocked. I saw the substance in the pipe become like dirt. But that hasn't gone away as the pipe has leveled off quite a bit. Then I found this product online and decided to give it a try as I felt like I probably didn't have the strength to pull it all off. I threw it down the drain through cleaning and it was about 4 or 5 feet in there. As I turned the water up, whatever was in it soon started coming out of the cleaner with the Drain King. I had to work very hard to push it back. But he couldn't stay there, and the pressure kept pushing him out! I could see it explode inside the tube, but the friction between the tube wall and the rubber wasn't strong enough to keep it inside. In the end, after cleaning, a lot of viscous, hardened grease remained. It had to go down the drain! Don't retreat! I really thought this product was a joke. If he couldn't stay in the tube, he's useless. It's supposed to block that end and push all things down the drain! If he can't block the pipe, then what is he there for? But anyway, these things came out and I had to clean everything up. So I brought the Drain King back to about 6 feet. I turned the water back on. This time he stayed there with no problems. I don't quite understand what happened. But I suspect it might not work as well in a fully sealed case. If the block is stronger than the handle, this guy is basically being pushed out while he keeps shooting water at him, and the water has to go somewhere. As lockdown eases, these guys show their power. I let it run there for 10 minutes. I heard him squeak once. I'm not sure how it works there. As I pulled it out and put the snake back in, I heard the sound of the snake's tip knocking through the PVC wall. This means that there is NOTHING left in the pipe at all! Everything is gone! That's how it worked out in the end, although I wish I didn't have to clean up all those who refused. So if he can't get it down the drain, he'll pull it out again. In any case, it will make everything clean in the end!
