Review on 💡 Westinghouse 4513400 Medium Base LED Bulb, 40W Equivalent by Heather Preston

When the lights above the stove went out I decided I had to go ahead and find an LED bulb to replace. I'm gradually replacing all the lightbulbs in my apartment with LEDs, not only to save energy, but also because I can't keep changing burned out lightbulbs. This fits perfectly into the fixture as expected, and I love that it's not glass - much less fragile to handle. Like all LED bulbs I've tried, it seems a bit brighter with a more even spread of light. The retail packaging it came in was something of a nightmare to open. I cut the box along the marked line but there was still no way to open it. I ended up peeling off layers of cardboard until I could finally pierce them with a knife without damaging the bulb, and then I finally managed to pull it out. As annoying as it is, I don't think it will be a problem for most people, but if you have arthritis or have limited use of your hands, you need help. Overall this is a great purchase, especially for the price I got it for. Even if it only lasts half its life, I should get a good decade out of it - no more constantly changing bulbs!
