Thread Too Short - Ladies

I was very pleased with this product and hoped it would save me money on a visit to the salon. However, the first use impressed me. When the thread broke, everything went downhill. When trying to rethread the tool, I found that the thread was too short and didn't fit. I even measured the old thread and the new thread and it came out half an inch shorter. Now I only have a tool and no thread.
