Review on πŸ”³ DGK Optek Premium Reference White Balance Card Set- 3 Card Digital Color Correction Tool: Enhance Color Precision and Optimize White Balance by Doug Layman

Revainrating 4 out of 5

No excuse for bad color balance: get this

-mm color slide film from the same batch, filmed with approximately 12 color bar frames bracketed and 18% grayscale card under controlled Conditions. The lab removed a strip of film that matched (more or less) the pictures you took from the cassette and sent back the cassette with the unexposed images along with the slides installed. Or you would blow the whole role, depending on your budget. You will study the color and exposure slides and determine the optimal exposure and color correction filters you may need. You are easy now. Just unfold one of these, include it in the first frame, and keep shooting. If you upload your photos to Lightroom or whatever, click on the gizmos to correct the color balance and use the same settings for the rest. (Of course you're shooting in RAW, and for best results you should set your white balance manually.) I wear one of these around my neck on set or in the studio. Just keep them clean. And your nose too when you're there.
