Some people have had trouble with these locks. I'm still holding back my doubts, but so far so good. After reading reviews of the rust on these locks, I oiled the entire lock pin and interior. There is a small hex screw to keep the locking pin from falling out. I smeared thread lock on the threads to ensure it doesn't vibrate when towing a trailer. So it's been a few months now and it's only slightly rusted and hasn't rusted since I opened the box and used it for the first time. They're easy to recode once you know how to put the pins in. I bought two separate locks and just switched them to the same key as the only other option, having the same key for two locks, for some reason requires you to buy three packs of locks. I should mention that I live about 60 miles north of the Gulf Coast and often work my trailer on the beach, so if mine was prone to rust it would be pretty bad. Just keep them lubed, apply some fixative to the lock stud and they should work just fine for you.
