Now that Covid has forced grocery stores to abandon coffee grinders I needed an easy way to make my morning coffee. I used to use one of those little two-blade coffee grinders that grind the beans into a powder. I found it messy, not very consistent, and I always found myself wrapping the cord around the grinder - it didn't stay up most of the time, but I didn't need to do it often. Now I need a meat grinder every day. With a coffee grinder, I put beans in the hopper for a few days, hit the grind button in the morning to get just the right amount for my four-cup coffeepot, and pour it into the filter. No mess, no cord to tuck away (the grinder has its own dedicated spot on the counter) and a consistent grind every day. It took me a bit of fiddling to get the right grind size and amount at the push of a button, but that's to be expected.
