I bought this product because I was sure it would help me remove old grout in the shower. It was unusable for this purpose because the sealant was too old and heavy for this tool. It also didn't fit the 90 degree angles to effectively scrape off the old sealer. I ended up using a utility knife and a razor blade scraper. Therefore, this tool was a waste of time and money at this stage of the project. When applying a new silicone sealant, I found that using grout tools just wasn't working for me. This error may well be due to my lack of experience with the instrument. After gluing and applying the bead of sealant, I used my finger to smooth the bead. This worked better for me. This tool was a good idea but didn't work for me on this project.
