Works great. So why only 2 stars? I bought 3 of them. Each was connected to a current HP desktop computer as a second Ethernet card. The first two worked well when installed in a PCI-e port. If I had stopped there it would have been 5 stars. In the third, a brand new computer, nothing. The computer showed no indication that anything was installed in the PCI-e slot. I've been an IT pro for 30 years now, so I tried all the usual stuff over the next few hours. I was about to give up and order another adapter. As a last resort, I installed the adapter into the remaining standard PCI slot. Works perfectly. This is a low-bandwidth application, so I'm not testing the Ethernet speed. To be honest, I'd rather spend the extra money on a trusted brand name. Unfortunately, this is no longer an option for desktop applications. Moral: if you spend $11 on an ethernet card, expect a high failure rate.
