I bought a dual sensor concentrator for leak detection in the guest bathroom that we don't use often. Sensors are connected to the hub quickly and reliably. The written instructions were clear and the mobile app was easy to use. The sensors connect to the hub using a long-range wireless protocol called LoRa, allowing you to place the hub near a Wi-Fi hotspot and the sensors anywhere in your home. Our hub is in a different room from the sensors and had no trouble connecting everything together. Right out of the box, the hub and sensors send notifications to the Yolink app via email, SMS, or notification. The sensors and hub don't have built-in alarms, though, so you have a few options if you want an audible alarm. You can buy a Yolink siren connected to a hub and create a rule in the Yolink app to sound the siren when the sensors detect water. The siren is not very expensive and you can install it anywhere in your home - it plugs into a hub. If you have Alexa or Google Home devices, you can pair them with the sensors and have them indicate when one of the sensors detects water. We have Alexa devices and linking it was as simple as downloading the Yolink Skill, linking Alexa to the Yolink account and creating an Alexa Routine that will be triggered on a sensor event and a message on all Alexa devices announces. Sensors can either detect standing water below or dripping water from above. They'll continue to send alerts when water is detected - at an interval you can customize - and each alert results in an email, notification, or alert on Alexa or Google Home. So even if you miss the first warning, you're more likely to notice subsequent ones. Alerts are issued incredibly quickly—less than a second in my simple test—so even a major leak can be stopped before major damage is done. All in all a simple, well thought out product well worth the price for a little peace of mind.
