Review on 🦷 Doctor's BrushPicks Interdental Toothpicks 120-Pack for Effective Oral Care by Susan Cox

Revainrating 3 out of 5

I think I like GUM denticles better

I have a bit of recessed gums that open up spaces between teeth below the points of contact - and a tooth with an old crown with a ledge that tends to eat away snagged, and a bit of gingivitis. I usually pop my toothbrush bristles into these spots and just do a very thorough job, but my favorite toothbrushes (the original Oral B Advantage) are no longer made and are becoming harder and harder to find on eBay and the gap around that tooth is deepening. Since I feel like I can't use Thread without being overly aggressive, I figured it was time to try a different approach. So I bought these along with three different styles of GUM soft picks (original, lengthened, and wider). My favorites are GUM Advanced Soft Picks and my least favorite are Doctor's BrushPicks. They have a 2-dimensional bristle pattern (one plane), while all GUM picks have a 3-dimensional pattern (2 planes at 90 degrees to each other). The GUM bristles are also softer and more comfortable for my style of use, where the tip is pushed all the way to the other side of the teeth. These Doctor's bristles feel sharper and almost like I'm sawing - I have to be careful of their alignment so I don't scratch my gums. There are other teeth.
