Review on VTech Connect to Cell DS6771-3 DECT 6.0 Cordless Phone - Black/Silver - Enhanced Mobility and Connectivity by Rex Bareham

From the start, the first callers said the reception was poor. I installed the phone on a Saturday and support was only available on weekdays. First red flag. I called on Monday and to my surprise I didn't have to wait long before a support rep suggested moving my phone, which was plugged into a standard phone jack, closer to the wall jack. After that, the reception improved in their opinion. Since then, about half of my subscribers have voluntarily stated that the reception was poor. Second red flag. The phone has some interesting bells and whistles, but it was difficult to get them to work. Example: You can have your contact data transferred from your mobile phone. And I did that I guess? but I couldn't access my contacts. I wrote some numbers in the phone book but again I couldn't figure out how to access them. I had to set up a Bluetooth connection to get the transfer to the phone, but it was annoying when both phones rang at the same time and I couldn't figure out how to disconnect them. I have a degree in Systems Engineering and I understand how electronics work and in my opinion this phone is poorly designed. Establishing the dialed phone number was also problematic. The last straw was another call saying the reception was bad so I'm sending it back.
