Please buy the tempered glass cover ALSO. Don't rely on it to protect your Surface. I bought it so I can take my Surface Pro to and from work without worrying about something happening to it. I honestly don't know what happened, but sometime between a day's work when it was in my bag, fully closed and secured - when I put it on my bed, the screen shattered. I wanted to knock the product down to three stars. because I was so pissed that my $1500 electronics just got destroyed while encased and I have no idea how. I'm not sure if my bag fell off at work and I didn't know it because someone picked it up, or if something in my bag somehow pressed too hard on the small edge. Here's why I only deducted one star (it was originally 5): 1) I had to buy a tempered glass lid first, so that was my fault. 2) I like the design and the strength of the case itself. . The ability to attach a handle and not be afraid of losing it in your pocket is also a plus. 3) I've never used it, but the little pocket on the outside for important papers is good. 4) I have no idea HOW it broke. I put it away intact and opened it to find it broken. As far as I know I was the only one who had contact with him and he was never removed from the case. However, since I don't know HOW the screen was destroyed, it would be unfair of me to put all the blame on the case. I still use the case and my surface still works albeit with a very cracked screen. So please, if you are clumsy and looking for a case to really FULL PROTECT your surface, this is NOT it.
