In theory these straps are good for securing the car cover but I'm not sure I can recommend this product mainly due to the fact that the straps tend to stretch and spoiled after 5-6 months. Now the seller sent me another package for free, but I am sure that the result will be repeated again. This is probably due to external elements. If you live somewhere with warmer weather or where outside factors aren't that big of a factor then this might work well but that's not my case so it's seen significant wear in the time I've had it. If the straps wear out I would definitely consider replacing them as a strong sustained gust of wind can cause the car cover to move sideways (if there is no center bar).
