Review on πŸ”‹ MAXXT 12V Cordless Polisher: Mini Buffer Tool Set with Variable Speed and Li-ion Battery for Car Detailing and Painted Surface Polishing by Justin Newport

Good design failed because of misguided cost cutting

I bought this headlight and motorcycle polisher but I couldn't polish even x2 headlights without blowing the internal fuse. I'm guessing it was overheating as this thing gets pretty hot after 30 seconds of continuous use. Even without the tool becoming unusable for an hour, I didn't like where the cost savings lay. The absolute #1 point to notice is the cruise control trigger. Every other polisher I've ever used has a shortcut to set the speed, but that requires you to hold the trigger in awkward spots for different speeds. Splash water and loss of control are the result. Another area where highlights are lost is the poor build quality of the all-important handle. Mine arrived with the firmware and detached before I even used it. I assume it will fail at some point. 2 stars and the use of a well-known branded polishing machine, especially in this price range.
