This controller works great with a few basic adjustments. But to connect power cables to this controller, you need pin connectors, not regular electrical connectors. You need "powered" powerheads with the right connectors. Online descriptions make it difficult to determine the exact characteristics of the fork, especially if you are unaware of the potential problem. I bought this Hydor controller to replace a more expensive defective model from another brand that ran two Hydor power heads with regular plugs. I couldn't find adapters for plugs, so I got new powerheads.
