Review on 🔇 Sony ICFCD820 AM/FM CD Clock Radio (No Longer in Production) by Owen Blanco

Disappointment #1: This unit DOES NOT have a digital synthesized AM/FM tuner; it uses an old-fashioned tuning wheel. Sony is trying to compensate for this by using AFC on FM, but with all stations here (near LA) it will likely switch to another station due to temperature changes during the night. AM is very sensitive to AM interference and not very sensitive. The emergency power supply only takes a minute; Has NO backup battery. Audio power is only 1.2 watts per channel (3-inch speakers) but sounds reasonable. (The specification is 10% distortion). Wake-up CD music track selection and dual alarm are nice features. I will update the device to a better one.
