From the photos these storage bags look like they are strong enough to stand on their own - that's not true! I thought it was a stronger and harder fabric. Unfortunately, they are very fragile and will break on their own. Yes you can put things in and they will probably do the trick if you just want the bag to store things by those zips. Fragility makes lifting difficult. I bought them not only to store things but also to keep my cats from crawling under the bed. Not sure if the thinness of this material will be cat proof, which I was hoping for in a stronger fabric.
