I know everyone loves this product. I used to do it too. So much so that 6 months after the first one I ordered the exact same device from Maskeyon for our other cat. We used it for the first time yesterday and it has been nothing short of a nightmare. The problem was the main zip that covers the entire unit and keeps it closed. That's what cracked, allowing the cat to get out. The first was on the way to the vet, the second while we were in the waiting room. At this point it was more embarrassing and just annoying. The vet tech then took our cat back and after examining him (and knowing what had happened beforehand) the vet examined him himself after personally zipping him up. Convinced he was safe inside this time, she picked him up to hand him to us. The zipper, now with the cat's weight, split open again and our cat fell from a fairly high countertop height onto the hard concrete floor. Me, the vet and her tech feared the worst when everyone saw and heard him banging his head on the way down/out. He tried to get up and the vet took over. Hours, x-rays and 3 stitches later we were able to get him home where as seen in the photo he is resting as comfortably as possible with stitches keeping his left eye closed and onsior to deal with the pain of his broken ribs To finish. I don't know where to start describing my concern as I am sure you can imagine the myriad consequences of such an incident.
