Not suitable for USB 3.0 for computer accessories and peripherals

I have a USB 3.0 camera that is recognized when connected to a USB 3.0 port on a PC and works fine. When connecting via this angled plug, however, the camera must be connected to a USB 2.0 port in order to be recognized at all. I have tried 3 of these adapters with the same result so this is not a faulty product. This adapter does not work for USB 3.0
