My daughter is moving into her own apartment so I went through all my kitchen supplies and gave her everything I wanted to upgrade. It was a win for both of us! I chose this pan because it is smaller. This is the perfect size for roasting a whole chicken, ribs or roast. I've used it 4 or 5 times with different meats and it worked better than I expected. The first time I tried it with a whole chicken. The chicken cooked evenly, pulled off the grill easily, nothing stuck to it and the pan was easy to clean. Another time I tried chicken thighs with potatoes. I thinly sliced some golden potatoes and placed them under the shelf below. I place the marinated chicken thighs on the grid and drain all the juice and season the potatoes. Oh my god, they tasted amazing! I didn't have any quality problems. This is a well built frying pan with a quality grate. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a smaller pan.
