At least one other reviewer mentions that it's connected through their LAN, but when I plug the transmitter into my router or ethernet switch, my internet connection drops immediately (connection gets fast after that restored switch off transmitter). But they work fine as long as I connect the sender and receiver to a separate network, with or without an ethernet switch in between. Transmitter to multiple locations where I want receivers. I know there are similar (but more expensive) products specifically designed for LAN or WAN connectivity, but this works well enough for the price that I'd like to keep it despite the cabling issues. I only use it as a local KVM extender for my security system (so I don't need to share my internet connection), but if you try to use it as a webcam extender, for example, this connection problem can be a fatal error.
