I really like this camera. I'm an amateur photographer and this camera meets my needs: excellent image quality, easy to use, functions that I need. Also, I couldn't tell it apart from the new camera. Everything seemed brand new and I registered the camera for a regular warranty. What more can you ask for? Stop comparing and get this one. More if interested: There are many good cameras on the market right now and the M50 is the one I've been looking for the most. I mainly take photos and some videos, but when I need videos I need the features that this camera has. I regularly shoot in manual mode as a hobby, but when I'm traveling with my family or handing the camera to my seven-year-old for a few shots, I need a good auto mode. I've had mid-range cameras from Nikon, Fujifilm, and Olympus and they've all been great. If you use manual mode, it's up to you. Good shot? Is that all you, bad shot? it's all you. Seriously, that's an archer, not a marksman. Difference M50 in automatic mode. Looks silly doesn't it? Not really. It takes much better pictures and maintains correct exposure better than any other camera I've used in this mode. Why does it matter? Sometimes all I need to do is turn on the camera and take a picture of my kids etc, if it's not at least as well exposed as my phone it's useless. The M50 performs better, and the significantly larger sensor gives you a lot more room for cropping etc than your phone. And if you record in compressed raw format, you have a lot more flexibility later. You also have more future with the family photos you take if you later want to make a calendar or maybe print photos. As soon as you exit automatic mode, this camera leaves your phone in the dust. And yes, even the latest best iPhone 11 etc. Who prints photos anyway? I do. I love the pictures on the wall and the grandparents love the printed framed photos as gifts. This camera offers what your phone cannot. Canon colors? Straight out of the camera they are great! I particularly like how the M50 handles red and orange (personal preference). All manufacturers know about color, so it's just a matter of preference. If you like messing around with your photos in a bright room, let's face it, it really doesn't matter if you use Fujifilm, Sony, Nikon, Olympus or whatever. The software picks up color almost anywhere you want. However, I have to say that this camera's new compressed RAW format is great. Now I just shoot everything in a compressed RAW format as the file size is pretty close to a nice JPG. This camera's C-Raw format has no issues in Lightroom and works great. Let's briefly mention ISO: anything over 3200 is practically useless for anything other than social media on a small screen. This is the only downside of this camera. Not so much with a whale lens in low light. If you buy a 22mm prime lens for around $100, the camera is great for shooting in low light. The problem is solved. Overall the M50 is a great camera and if you buy a 22mm lens it will fit in your pocket and take even clearer photos and videos in low light.
