Review on LG 27GN950B UltraGear 4K 144Hz HDR Gaming Monitor with G-SYNC Compatibility and Pivot Adjustment - 27GN950-B by Andrew Whiteman

Revainrating 4 out of 5

A good monitor is hampered by poor quality control

I originally bought an LG UltraFine panel that had significant blowouts in both bottom corners. In the end I returned it. Thinking that maybe an extra $150 for this panel would give me better quality control, I bought this panel. Unfortunately, although the highlights in the bottom corners of this panel aren't as pronounced, they're still present and sometimes distracting in darker scenes. . It looks like the bottom corners of both panels are slightly curved backwards, or maybe the middle of both panels are slightly curved outwards. Anyhow, it speaks to LG's poor quality control, which according to a Google search is pretty common these days. Their OLED panels are amazing (I have one) but their LCD panels don't seem like it at all.
