Didn't work

I watched a video on how to use this punch and found it fairly easy to use. Then I sat down and tried to use it. No matter what I did, I couldn't get him to cut anything. I used light thin paper and it didn't even help. Very sad about this as I wanted to cut circles of different sizes without getting out and adjusting my electronic cutters etc. But unfortunately it didn't work and I had high hopes for this cutter. I appreciate the opportunity to try this router. I just want it to work for me. Many Thanks.
