Ideal size for pet rats, particularly as a second 'female' quarters in multi-tiered cages to complement the large downstairs toilet. Some of them could completely eliminate the need for a large tray. My rat makes great use of her main toilet except when she is drowsy and too sleepy to go down three flights of ramps to sleep. Installing this smaller tray in a corner on a platform near his hammock where it easily attaches to the cage bars with clip-on hangers worked great. Rabbits and therefore uses too much of the rat dwelling's internal real estate. Makes cleaning the cage quick and easy (I use it with hypoallergenic 100% dust-free ECO sheets).
