I have been using a Mann Filter HU 718/5 X metal free fleece oil filter for over 9 years and change it at every oil change every 10,000 miles. An excellent German made OEM product to remove contaminants from your vehicle's engine oil for all Mercedes ML w163 vehicles from 1998 to 2005. Easy to install and comes with all 5 different sized O-rings. The 2004 Mercedes ML 350 required all 5 rings. I also use Mityvac MV7201, Mobi 1 OW-40, Liqui Moly CERATEC, Mann Filter C30195/2 air filter and Mann Filter CUK 2338 cabin filter.
