The shirt is larger than expected. So take one size bigger. I'm 2XL, should have ordered 3 XL. More importantly, you expect bison check flannel shirts to be warm, comfortable, and to protect you from the cold. No, with that. This is what the Buffalo Plaid Flannel looks like. It will give you no warmth. It's all a show, not a performance. That's why it's probably cheaper than others. If you are a slim man this will suit you. But any guy with a bump is better off ordering a size or two bigger if you want all the buttons fully buttoned. They really should have made the material thicker and warmer. A bit of a disappointment, but spring and summer will do just fine, just no shirt for cold climates.
