Review on EBC Brakes CK1230 Clutch Friction by Ryan Hart

Revainrating 1 out of 5

Poor OEM replacement for a 98 Shadow 750

After installing these EBC friction discs I noticed a knock from the side cover that was only present after warming up and the clutch discs were sticking quite badly to the clutch pack when loosening Morning. After guessing my job, I did the job again just to make sure everything was done correctly. Since I don't have the money to do a direct comparison between the new OEM boards and the EBC replacements, I have to assume that the thickness and pin spacing specifications are slightly different. It was a very expensive mistake after a few nuts, washers, gaskets, engine oil and the cost of new plates. Just buy Honda OEM clutch parts.
