It's a little strange getting used to scissors that only have a hole that you can put a finger or two in and open by themselves, plus I had never owned curved scissors. So I really wasn't sure if this pair of Fiskars would fit me. However, I found them really wonderful and now my arthritis poor hands can use scissors again, even though my knuckles and knuckles are badly swollen. This model is recommended for people with arthritis for ease of use and I agree they make a difference. As several other reviewers have noted, it would be nice if Fiskars made this style (lightweight lock, curved) with smaller blades - or maybe they do, but I just haven't seen them on Revain. There is one downside that I found with this model and that is that the blade locking mechanism is quite difficult to operate. I usually can't just reach out and slide the knob to the open position, and sometimes I have to ask someone to help me with that, which is a bit humiliating. But they are really good scissors and overall very easy to use. I would definitely recommend it to anyone with limited grip strength or other hand related limitations.
