I bought this for my kids aged 1-3. The box was badly damaged with duct tape over the large holes and the part the duct tape didn't cover had exposed the bullets. With those items in the van, I seriously doubt they were clean. The damaged box didn't bother me that much, but when I opened the box I noticed that the balls were being squeezed out of the damaged box. One of the balls is completely crushed almost to a flat state. like in a flat hat. Some balls have dents that look like they will flatten out with use as well. The balls are also very thin. When I saw that several bullets were dented and one was completely flat, I took one out to "feel" it. I saw that the beads were so thin they were almost translucent. The one I picked up was supposed to be red, but when exposed to light it appeared translucent and pink because it was so thin. After collecting the whole box of balls (1000), I didn't feel like he weighed 10 pounds. It's more like 3 pounds than 10 pounds. I just repackaged it for return.
