I have ordered two sets, two in each set. I put two in the back and two in the front. I know how painful replacing coil springs can be, so I cheated. I bought a JKS 9605 upper shock mount kit and used it on shocks that were supposed to be in the rear. I bought a 3/4" drill bit (screw size above) to drill out the old gaskets and reuse. I should have bought a 20mm bit instead, but I got it right. I took a rubber brace. Boots from each of the old front shocks, cut them in half with a cuto bread knife (I found that spraying with belt lube lubricates them and makes the cut a lot easier) to soften the new shocks, the new shocks didn't have any new hardware with them, so if your hardware is old and rusty you'll probably want to buy new bolts. To get them on the front I used a ball joint press to change the rubber bushings on the ends because Monroe wanted those Shock absorbers are fitted in a specific way so they last longer It took a while but a ball joint press and belt straightening spray made the job easier I had to reuse old lower shock mount as rears are a different size. The nut on top is 30mm and I had to remove the airbox to put a 30mm wrench in there. too long because of the brake fluid reservoir. To bring the fronts in all the way I had to loosen the front anti-roll bar and then lower the axle enough to remove the spool over the shocks and shock mounting kit. I had another jack under the axle before, during and after coupling and uncoupling the anti-roll bar. Now that I've replaced all four, I've found that my front end is quieter when turning. I have a little clicking from the tire links or the steering rack, but much less than mine, and the Jeep even sits now. All of this was done on a 1986 Jeep Cherokee Pioneer with a 2.5 liter engine and 4X4 drive. The whole jeep was about an inch or two higher and the death wobble was almost gone. I'm sure I'll need a new steering rack again to fix this, but JKS 9605 front adapter shocks helped with that too. The hits that used to set on shutdown no longer do.
