Revainrating 2 out of 5

EDITED 10/28/20: NOT SO SATISFIED >

EDITE 10/28/20: Almost 3 months later I downgraded my rating. The brightness of the LED display was dimmed so much that I could hardly read it in the dark. I plugged it in so it's not batteries. Also, the AM reception is terrible. We have a local station with a very strong signal and listening to this radio is unbearable. Bluetooth for listening to music is still good. ORIGINAL POST 8/10/20: I'm very happy with it, but I can tell from the looks and price that it's not Bose, so it's actually better than I expected. Pros: Setting the time, channels and turning on/off is as nice and easy as it was in the good old days. No complicated menus to negotiate. FM and Bluetooth work and sound great. better than I expected for the price. And I love the way it looks and it's low it doesn't take up space on my bedside table. The display has excellent contrast and is easy to read without glasses. I saw from the start that it was USB powered, so I ordered a surge protector with 3 USB ports. (One to run the clock radio, the other two to charge the phone and iPad. CONS: AM tuning isn't very good. I live in the city center where my favorite AM reception is strong. Although I can tune into stations, it sounds Terrible - No repeat - The display is too bright and not adjustable That's not the case I'm a photographer so I have photo gels I cut one (thick green) to fit the display so it fits perfectly and you me can't say it's there and it works great. Before doing this I also had a saran green sheet which I folded in half and tightened and that worked great too. Try the saran sheet first on the display .But I had to be happier if it was AC/DC powered and came with two USB ports for charging.Overall, the looks, Bluetooth sound, design and ease of use were so important to me that di e ADVANTAGES outweighed the DISADVANTAGES .
