I love rhinestone ribbons. I'm a part-time cake designer and I usually enjoy using ribbons on multi-tiered cakes (the base of each tier). The reason I love rhinestone ribbons is because of the sparkle and glitter (I love bling). I also love making my own cake stands. I use Styrofoam cake bases and wrap the sides with this tape. This ribbon will help you take your cake to the next level. I just can't tell you how much my clients love the presentation. Please take a look at some of the photos I've attached. Please note there are no rhinestones on the band. Shiny spots look like rhinestones. There are ribbons with real rhinestones, but they are very expensive. I have them in different colors. This ribbon will really decorate your cake and make it look amazing. If you plan to use them for cakes, use a simple satin or silk ribbon underneath. Here's how -1. Calculate the length of the ribbon for your cake base. For round cakes, the required length is 3.14X (diameter of the cake tier). For square cakes, the required length is 4X (the length of each side). For square and round cakes, remember to add an extra inch before slicing.2. 5 rhinestones wide = 1 inch. I think one inch is optimal. Anything smaller or larger than an inch doesn't look good.3. When using rhinestone cake ribbons, be sure to use a satin or silk ribbon of the same color underneath. Cut pieces of satin or silk ribbon the same length as the rhinestone ribbons. Ribbons should be 7/8 or 1 inch wide. Encircle the bottom of the cake tier with a satin ribbon. Make sure it's positioned correctly. Now use the rhinestone ribbon over the satin ribbon. If you use a satin or silk ribbon underneath, the rhinestone ribbon will be more shiny.
