Review on 📦 Large Brown Wood Storage Trunk with Steel Band - Household Essentials Chest by James Ortega

I was ready to be disappointed when I brought the bag in - it's lighter than I expected. However, it turns out that part of that lightness is due to the metal - either tin or aluminum I'd say. The box is not made of cheap balsa wood. It is a soft wood that is naturally lighter. I really like the box and would like to give it five stars, but there are a few minor issues. Because it is a soft wood, it sounds light. The cat scratched the tree with its rear claw as it jumped down. He jumped with great force because he was playing, so it's only happened once so far. Another problem is that the wood has a rough texture and not a sanded finish. It does this in a way that gives it a rustic feel, which is nice. This actually works in my favor because I have a knitted cat pad on top and the texture of the wood actually holds it in place pretty well. She has already received several compliments. The patina on the metal is beautiful, as in the photo. I use it for my files - one of those plastic stands that files hang on fits perfectly, and the floating file basket fits nicely next to it. It will be fine for a throw or two, but probably too small if you need to hide a few throw pillows.
