Review on Enhance Your Bathroom's Ventilation with NuTone S1200A000 Bathroom Motor Assembly by Chris Norman

I received this engine a few days after ordering. A bit difficult to assemble simply because the old fan motor had a lot of dust, dirt, grime etc. I used a drill with a wire brush attachment to clean the area around it, as well as some tin shutters that were elevated. the fan itself (had to take them off, easy; use goggles too! very dirty!). Before installing the new motor I hooked it up to make sure it worked and to make sure I had the real (plastic) fan blades installed correctly. I used 4 washers (not included) I had in a jar in the garage to make room where the motor screws into the downward facing mounting plate (see photos, washers on top of plate/bar ). I overtightened the screws which pressed the mounting plate against the fan motor and it didn't work. After the washers were in place, everything worked. I will say that it is much quieter than the old engine! It no longer feels like a spaceship taking off. Overall a good product for the money spent so far so good.
