My more expensive fake is very sensitive, but at channel speed it gives bad readings because it's the maximum value. the speed is about half the normal channel speed. Testo has no moving parts, so its lifespan must be long enough. And as a thin, hot-wire sensor system, it can measure channel velocity with minimal disruption to channel configuration. The air port has a closed position to protect the sensor and a horizontal or vertical position depending on the duct configuration you are working with.
