The resort we visited didn't have straws to protect the sea creatures, so they helped make these frozen margaritas easier to drown! I've dropped them once or twice and they haven't broken, they were pretty light and didn't get cold when you sipped on your favorite drink. We bought a straw tote bag sold by CampTek which fits them perfectly. Tip: After drinking your pina colada, use a straw to drink water and it cleans it up pretty well since I've been using the same straw throughout the day. I can start using them all year round. They're quite large, so if you prefer drinks in 12 or 16 ounce glasses, I'd go with shorter straws.
