Mr. Longarm worked fine for me. I use it for indoor recessed lights. We have 12 foot ceilings with a few light fixtures in the kitchen above the counters that are very difficult to reach with a ladder. It fits my standard color bar with no problems. Wet the cup before use to ensure maximum suction power. I dropped the lightbulb that I took out with the dry cup. I had no problem getting the bowl to release the bulb once installed. Just move them sideways until the vacuum breaks. I suspect that when used outdoors, coating the threads with No-Ox, available at any hardware store, will help keep the bulbs from oxidizing and sticking. I'm glad to have found this handy tool.
