I ordered this tool after struggling with my e61 5wagon to get the tool short enough to do an oil change in the transfer case. It was done, but by the time I set out to smooth my wife's E70 X5 transfer case, it was still too long to do. So instead of breaking another one of my good tools, I ordered this thing. MUCH EASIER! This is an invaluable tool for any BMW owner maintaining their own transmission oils. Some of the space limitations mean regular hex wrenches (and especially ratchet sockets) won't fit. It worked great. Highly recommended.
