My 12 year old son wanted an aquarium so we bought a 2.5 gallon faucet tank. Betta fish are tropical fish that thrive in temperatures between 78 and 80 degrees. So I bought this heater for my tank and it works like a charm. WHAT I LIKE: [+] It was well packaged in a form fitting foam that protects the heater during transport and delivery [+] The digital LED temperature display on the lid makes it easy to work with. for quick reading and determination of water temperature[+] Suction cups on the back of the heater make it easy to attach and secure to the tank[+] Change the temperature simply by pressing a button on the outside without removing the heater or getting your hands wet[+ ] Safety feature that turns off automatically when there is no more water WHAT I DON'T WANT:[-] Pressing the "SET” button will increase the temperature by 1, but there is no way to decrease the temperature . If you want to decrease the temperature, you have to keep pressing the button until it reaches 94 degrees, after which it will start again at 63 degrees and increase by 1 for each click. It's not a big deal as you rarely change the temperature once it's set to your desired temperature. TOTAL LINE: 5 out of 5 stars. Highly Recommended!**UPDATED 01/13/2020 **I am pleased to report that my son's Betta is still healthy and doing great!
