I mainly climbed Sandstone Slab, Sandstone Cracks and Multipitch in these shoes. Positive arch support despite the wide foot helped with edging and smearing. I had no stitches. High-quality solid rubber over the entire surface of the shoe significantly slowed down the destruction of rubber. Thoughtful placement of the heel material provides a soft contact with the back of the heel at the Achilles tendon. The material of this shoe has helped maintain the overall health of my foot and provided exceptional comfort. I've found this to be a real benefit in my ability to instantly work for narrow crack widths with more comfort and secure my ankle on more technical bouldering challenges. I would highly recommend this shoe to a wide range of climbers. Indoor climbers, especially beginners, will find the X Rave as comfortable and aggressive as it needs to be for everyday activities.
