I pierced my own nose and used these to start off. I used a stud on one side and a hoop on the other side. They both were pretty difficult to pull through but eventually went through. I had to end up swapping the diamond stud out because it kept getting caught on towels and my bed sheets. The l is a little short so pushing it through the swelling was a bit uncomfortable. I just left the hoop a little opened to compensate for the swelling on the other side. Other than that they are beautiful designs. Plan to buy more.
