Review on Wag Food Beef Vegetable Recipe by Jacqueline Jenkins

Waste of money on useless cans

First of all, let me make it clear that dog food is excellent in and of itself. My dog loves all stew recipes and I have noticed that his coat and skin have improved since I switched him to the Wag brand. Unfortunately, I cannot say that I am completely satisfied with the quality of the cans. They were fine initially, but the last boxes I received had a couple of dented cans. Almost every can is dented so badly that pressure builds up in the can. When I tried to open one this morning the jar literally exploded as soon as I tried to open the lid throwing bowls of meat all over the kitchen! I was very lucky not to get hurt other than having my whole hand and arm stuck in the sauce. Obviously I won't be using anything from this batch so it's a waste of $20. There was no external damage to the plastic packaging or box, so I can conclude that the cans were damaged during processing at the factory. If this continues, I will be reluctant to look for another brand of dog food. Too bad because the food is of excellent quality.

Pros
  • Great design
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging
