I don't know what shitty wires they put in circuit boards these days but I installed this guy and he totally wrecked my motherboard. I've been building PCs for 40 years. Was properly grounded. Stood on a completely discharged car. Installation was pretty easy. But when loading it hung on the BIOS - even the BIOS did not start. I erased the map and tried to reboot - no bones. I had a cheap spare motherboard laying around and decided to test it to see if the motherboard spontaneously died (it happens), but no. This guy died too. Under the microscope it turned out that the soldering of the components was rather shoddy. Then I saw what appeared to be a blob of solder - fully laminated - connecting one power rail to another rail. I didn't want to break the multimeter, but it was pretty clear that this card had failed factory quality control.
