This doorbell was used to replace some of the less audible bells I had on my back door so the pup could signal when to go outside. I was able to place the handset in a central spot so the ringing could be heard clearly throughout the house and there was no longer any question of ringing to get out. I also liked being able to place a transmitter on the inside of the door and an additional transmitter on the outside so she could signal when she wanted to go back inside. To mount the transmitters, I chose to use the Command "Velcro" hanging straps instead of the mounting pads that come with the doorbell system. This makes it easy to tune/move channels as needed.
