I've been looking for a tea bowl for a long time. I wanted one from Japan. Even in the Japanese shops here, amazingly, a lot is made in China! Then I found this one. I love blue and green together - my evening dress is in these colors. So it was so perfect for me. Before that, I prepared matcha in a wide-mouth mug. Nice, but the whisk barely fits in. When the bowl arrived I realized how perfect it is for beating matcha. The bottom of the bowl is not processed. It has a nice rough texture, feels good and holds and helps it stay in place. Mine arrived with the tiniest crack in the ceramic. I think it looks good inside and I'll keep my shell. I hope it lasts as long as I take care of it. Oddly enough today I just sat down to watch NHK World on TV and see what comes out but specifically about Mino teaware, its irregular shape and beauty. I'm glad to have this cup of tea and to see this story right during the review.
