I've seen other reviews and concluded that a lot of the negative reviews are from people who have never had an unnatural hair color.1. Always wash your hair in the kitchen sink with cold water. Otherwise it will bleed and stain. Cold water keeps its color.2. Always wear gloves when applying and washing.3. Learn more about halftone lightening.4. Infuse the eternal life of your hair with prana and leave for 30-40 minutes. I've had purple hair for years and dyed it 2V in 2020 for a job hunt. I decided to go back to my amethysts and violets. Because my hair is so dark, I knew I couldn't make it much lighter than a blood orange/orange with bleach, but that was all I needed. Orange is good for me to get the true color I want. The red tones would have resulted in an orchid pink purple, which I didn't want. I have bleached my hair at 20V many times so I wouldn't mess up my hair and give it the ghastly shade I wanted. I do not dilute Pravana with conditioner. That takes the hit and doesn't give me the effect I want. Conditioners can be added if you want paler colors or pastel shades. There were 2 full tubes of violets on my head. I love this product and always will.
