Very cheap and messy

Oh. This thing was a disaster, not a bug. I read the reviews before buying so I was willing to test it before making my final choice but GOOD! I had to test a whole piece of museum carpet before I finally figured it out. Here are a few things worth noting: 1. I've never found a middle ground where the blade could cut through a museum board that's dense but doesn't cut too deep into my cutting mat. The blade either didn't cut completely or cut through and deep into my cutting mat. The problem for me was that I had to push so hard to cut through the mat that my wrists hurt from the effort. 2. The blade was right on the line I wanted to cut to begin with, but when I pushed hard enough to cut through the museum board it wobbled about 1/8 inch, sometimes more. to learn how to tilt the ruler to accommodate this. However, if you tilt it too far, the blade will go too far in the opposite direction. an inch from the blade. I needed to get a clean, precise cut, and the marks on the side of this thing to help you align the blade with the line you want to cut are useless. I would measure my cutting line, and then I would measure the line I used for the straight edge that the cutter needs to press against. Once that was done, I then beveled my straight edge about 1/8" to solve the 0.4 deflection problem. First, I used a ruler as a ruler, which slipped everywhere. I got out my non-slip ruler, but it also slipped off because I had to press hard and I ended up pressing the blade too hard into the ruler. Luckily for me I have a large piece of 1/4" thick 24" x 36" tempered glass, which I attached to the cutter and I STILL have some slippage, but not that much. I was finally able to cut my museum plaque. and make an acceptable bearable rug for my print but damn it took a lot of fiddling and in the end I regret not buying the $150 rug from an art store and saving myself the pain in my wrists and wrists a wasted museum piece. Blackboard.
